Marks Videos Pulled me In..
Marks videos really pulled me in. I was already interested in pursuing it all but Marks tips and tricks videos set the hook. And to think I ran into Marks video by accident. Well, not entirely by accident but I was not searching for green screen stuff. It popped up in the related videos section. I said hey this guy looks crazy, I could get a good laugh so I clicked on it to offer my view. Im only kidding Mark about the looking crazy. Anyway I made my first 2 videos a very long time ago on a digital camera and some cheesy software that came with Vista. I knew I wanted to do more of it.
Just for laughs (please do not criticize) these are the first 2 videos I ever made a long time ago.

Anyway back to the story Marks videos on Tips and Tricks drew me in for the long haul. In fact I just bought all of Marks DVD's about 10 mins ago. Really excited to get those here in the mail. What I enjoyed about Mark and still do is despite he has so much energy it scares me I can understand him easy. He makes it fun and easy to learn unlike some others who really just want to walk away from it all leaving you feeling stupid and them smart. So if I turn out doing good things in the future there it is. Mark Apsolon offered that edge I needed to throw myself into film..

Just finished the training dvds.
Well I just finished my training dvds.. Really glad I grabbed these before jumping in to buying all my gear. It really gave good consideration points before spending the money. As well it was a different Mark I never seen. All of Marks online vidoes to me are him after 10 cups of coffee (which there is nothing wrong with). In the training dvds he calmed down and presented all the information very nicely. The way it was all laid out was professional and easy to follow. I would like to see an advanced green screen techniques where some very cool effects more than just keying out and adding a backgrounds are discussed. Showing off possibility with software and green screen suits and screen covered props. Overall though I was very pleased with my purchase. It was nice to see some home made methods discussed and shown but in all my sleuthing around the internet so far it has been proven to me the more money you have to put into all this the more pro you can come off.
On another note I recently did the wiz-fiz quiz. 6 out of 10 with 1 bonus right (14 points). I guess that is what you get with over 2000 videos watched on youtube.

I'm glad you enjoyed the training DVDs. I too see how much work and effeort he put into the set and just want to give him another round of applause
It's amazing how our videos change over the years as we learn different techniques.
Here is a link to one of my very early gear reviews:

I was editing on WMM back then lol
And one of my later ones:

I've been focusing on learning new software and so I have to get back into putting out new videos other than software tutorials.

Re: Marks Videos Pulled me In..
Thanks for that Dave, I believe we've all done a WMM movie or two. I found those links you posted interesting none the less though because I play a little bit of electric guitar myself. My next task after I learn how to make good video is doing some of my own sound with electric guitar. I am not good enough to suit everything I need but it will be fun mixing in some of my own audio.
