Sony Vegas 9 (and 8) Lost audio

Captures video greaqt HDV, but audio drops out to nothing , sometimes after a minute sometimes after 8 minutes, tried capturing whole tape, with and with out scene detection, but while vision is fine audio just stops. Using Raid drive via ethernet, (not sure if thats an issue, shouldnt be)

100 tapes!??! geez that's quite a bit.

I've actually never come across this issue before. Have you tried calling customer support?
It could be a glitch in the program. I suggest trying to reinstall Vegas if you have not already. Usually that fixes strange things like this.
