Walk on video spokesperson

Can this be done in Vegas? If so I would love to see how this is done in Vegas or After Effects or whatever. If not, does anyone know of a tutorial already made for this? I have serached on Youtube and cant find anything.

What are u talking about? I think that when your post gets post, the video/ link gets erased by the mod. If that's not the case, I'm not sure what u mean by, 'this'...

I believe you are looking for a website feature where a person walk onto the screen to walk you around the website features.
This gets annoying if you have it start on it's own and isnt something done easily without a green screen but yes both AE and Vegas can do it.

Leo Laporte had a caller in a while back asking for the same thing to be done on his website. Those show notes go over what he said. You can also go and look up his past show audio file and listen to what he said live on the air.

Yes that was what I was referring to thank you. I am looking for this more from a training standpoint than the normal website use where someone walks on without you asking for it. In this case the person will be clicking training videos and the walkon speokesperson will be explaining certain points of it. I am looking for a tutorial to do this in Vegas and or AE. I know Alpha channel transparency has something to do with this but I am trying to wrap my head around it.

Its all done with Adobe Flash. It's not too easy to do either. Flash is used as the video can be scaled down with very little loss on the image.

I myself have not tried to do this with a website yet but I hear more and more people wanting to do this with their site. About a week ago someone else called into Leo Laporte's show and wanted to do the same but all on his own. Leo said he had to learn website design/programming, video production, and how to work with Adobe Flash.
