Hello Everyone!!!
Hi. My name is Gary and I'm in Pennsylvania (USA) and I work in a one hour photo lab as a photo specialist. It looks like I might be the oldest member here (56).
OK, a little about myself. At a very young age, I was interested in photography, and my parents would buy me the latest point & shoot film camera every few years for Christmas. Then in the early 80's I graduated to a Pentax K-1000 35mm camera, and shortly later added the Pentax ME Super. I had those cameras up untill the early 90's when I sold them to move back to my hometown where I'm at now. After a year or so, I decided to get another camera, but decided to go digital. I owned a few point & shoot digitals, but was never really happy with them. Last year I finally broke down an purchased a Nikon D-40 and shortly later a Nikon D-300, with the intention of going PRO. So I proceeded to purchase studio lights from Linco, some backdrops & heavy duty stand from Backdrop Outlet, and the complete greenscreen kit from Tubetape. I thought about adding videography to my list, so I purchased an I-Mac & FinalCut Pro. Then I upgraded my old video camera to a Sony Handycam DCR-SR45 (to be used for some in-car race car stuff), and a special roll bar mount. I'm hoping to get a PRO video camera by this time next year.
My main interest in photography & videography revolves around auto racing (mainly drag racing), and some portrait and wedding stuff, but I'm leaving my options open to try other things. One thing I definately want to try is utilizing the green screen with my videography. I have an up-coming project that this might come in handy. I'm going to buy Mark's video on using the green screen, to go along with Jerry Day's video. Hopefully between those two videos, and the tips & tricks I'll learn here, I shouldn't have any problems getting the right results.

Welcome to the forums Susan. I look forward to to seeing those reviews.
BTW you may want to post a new thread instead of a reply next time. But either way, I'm sure people will find your welcome post.
