Panasonic AG-AC90
I recently picked up this new Panasonic after my old Canon Vixia was stolen while traveling out of state....(really loved that little camera...)
Anyways the Panasonic was fresh on the market and I was itching to get my hands on it for review and am editing that product review video today.
I leave you now with some photos and a quick text review of my first thoughts.
Pros:
- 3 ring manual controls on lens for iris, focus, and zoom
- Plenty more manual controls such as audio routing on the camera body
- Line/Mic inputs with 48v phantom power
- 3.5" touch screen monitor, very easy to use and looks great
- full remote outs for job crane use
- HDMI, Component, and headphone outs
- massive 5400mAh battery for 4-6 hours of run time.
Cons:
- Mic Mount Specific (Wont hold smaller diameter mics like my Azden SGM1X)
- Stiff Control Rings (Not too bad, but should be smoother)
- Hard To Extend LCD Screen (just for the full lockout point)
- Upper handle zoom level can only have speed set through on screen menu
- Similar Buttons on camera body making them hard to figure out in the dark.
Photos can be found at my blog post on the camera:
