Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection
Has anybody used this? Know anything about it. Pros/cons. I am seriously considering it and I have used the trial - it seems very good, the fact that it can read my AVCHD camera makes it really impressive to me - and I also love that it comes with a heap of Red Giant Plug-ins (Toon IT, KNoll Light Factory, Magic Bullet Looks, Trapcode Shine, 3D Stroke, Particular). I was on the Red giant website and all these plug-ins separately cost way over $1000 so when the Pinnacle program is only $130 I'm thinking this is an awesome deal.
But if anyone knows anything that I should know about it before I buy it please let me know!
also, it comes with a green screen but I don't know what size and what material it is made from. Does anyone know?

Re: Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection
pinnaclesys has always made great starting products for an outstanding price. I suggest people just starting out get these or even if you are more advanced but on a budget.
Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection runs for $130 on the manufacturer's website however it does not come with anything other than the software from what I know...
If you do need anything else, TubeTape is a nice start such as green screens and soft box lights.
B&H Photo/Video is also putting out some discounts for once in a long time!
Most of the NLE programs out there are starting to nativly support AVCHD for those new cameras that record to the SD flash cards.
I still use DV tapes myself though...(Canon VIXIA HV40).

Re: Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection
I can get it for $130 from a student discount site and it comes with the plug ins and green screen. I an planning on getting visionlab studio to do my advanced special effects editing and then using pinnacle 14 ultimate to put it all together and make the movie.

Re: Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection
That's quite a discount for something that gives you all those extra items.
Be careful, sometimes those "too goo to be true" deals are scams.
If the site has been around though and is high in rep. you should be fine.
Sounds like you have your mind set and know what you need to get. It looks like a good set of software IMO.

Re: Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection
this is the student discount site page with pinnacle 14 ultimate collection.
http://www.studentdiscounts.com.au/product/product_list1.shtml?sid=eab4d34bc0a0f46ab594a2affda29933&prod_code=
does it seem reputable to you? It is an Australian site (which is good because I am in Australia)
I am thinking of getting Visionlab Studio from tubetape.com because it comes with a 10'x12' greenscreen and I get a 10% discount at the moment. Does anyone know if I can get it cheaper somewhere esle?
Thanks
