Green Screen vs. Projector Screen Empty Green Screen vs. Projector Screen

Hello!

My name is Roy and I’m new to green screen technology. I’m helping to run a small business that wants to utilize green screen technology every day during its live video streams on the internet; however, the room that we do our video broadcasting in is used for various other things, so having a green screen permanently hanging in the room is not an option and unfortunately we do not have another room to dedicate to the green screen. Another issue is that we do not have any one person or persons designated to hang the green screen cloth everyday, so it can be very cumbersome for multiple people to have to hang the green screen every time we need to use it. Basically, I’m trying to set up a situation where the green screen can be deployed in a super easy fashion and will always be deployed the same way every time, no matter how incompetent the user is. The room itself is already being used for broadcasting and business meetings, so it is also crucial that the room looks very business ready and professional.

Here’s my idea, I want to take an electric or manual retractable projector screen that is mounted on the ceiling and turn it into a green screen. I can do this by either loading the green screen material into the projector screen in replacement of the normal projector material, or I can paint the projector material chroma key green. It seems like the best paint for this would be the chroma key green spray paint instead of using a gallon of latex paint.

What are your thoughts on this idea?

Thanks a lot!
