Anyone know of a good webcam?
So a friend and I started a new little weekly show on Stickam and I've been in the market for a webcam. I found a few on Cnet with a nice rating.
1) Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000
At $100 it is quite expensive if you ask me but once again, reviews say it puts out a very nice image.
2) Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP
This one also has a nice review and is half the price.
I would prefer staying around $50 for this purchase as I wont be using this every day.
I chose Logitech as I have many products from them, (steering wheel with FF, Wireless mouse, Keyboard...) and so I trust they make a good product. However, I saw Microsoft makes quite a few cameras which are lower in price and some people say their cams work well. I know Logitech uses Carl Zeiss optics for all of their cams and so I would assume the quality there would be great.
So, what should I go for?
one of the above Logitechs, a Microsoft, or something else?
Image quality for around $50 is my goal. An on board mic is nice but not needed as I will be using my pro grade audio gear for the sound.

Re: Anyone know of a good webcam?
Update
I just got the Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP today and it's an ok cam.
For anyone interested in how it looks, keep an eye on my stickam page as I log on and broadcast every now and then.
I was hoping to use that as one of many cams but once I plug it in, I cant select my main audio interface due to the new drivers...so I plan on just using this cam on my laptop which is the main reason I picked it up in the first place.

Re: Anyone know of a good webcam?
I guess, we all already have watched Mark's review of Logitech's 9000. It seems to be the current best webcam. Unfortunaly this webcam is too expensive for me:-( So I gonna buy another webcam.

I have been having software error code issues with my MP now...but thats when I try apply video effects which I dont use anyways. i have to put a GearReview episode up on my cam but yea I think the 9000 is worlds better and worth the price.
BTW I am on stickam every now and then if anyone wants to see how well the cam works....stickam.com/85dave
I also do my weekly show with this cam now.
