Work You've Done

Post  SyclicalNinja on Sun Dec 14, 2008 5:20 pm

Hey guys,

Lets showcase some of our work, just to get to know what people can do/have done,

I'll start it off, here's a link to my youtube Channel,(http://www.youtube.com/user/tacticalnudge), feel free to comment, and what not, if you choose to. any feedback, good or bad is appreciated. Just make sure to give reasons/proof of why you are saying what you are (when it comes to giving feed back)

"that sucked" doesn't really help anyone... "that sucks because you need to light your subject better" is much more useful.

once again if you missed it:

My Channel:

Enjoy, Thanks guys.

These type of posts are what the Youtube section of the forum was made for...
"In this forum you guys can discuss the weather or just about anything you want. That is not related to video"

Either way, ill have a look at some of your videos

I'm sure you can delete your original post and repost it to the youtube section yourself or Mark will move it soon enough.

Ok so it doesn't have to be video related. Instead of moving this thread I thought I would add a few of my "projects".

DIY E-Drum Set:
Around the end of 2005 I decided it was time to get rid of my limiting Yamaha DD55 tabletop drum set and move onto something a little more...advanced and fun. After looking around I found out about DIY e-drums which was great since I cant play acoustics here in the studio.
Well after some research I searched buying parts and spent around $800 on everything.
You can view the 3 year old images I took while building the kit at THIS LINK

I started building around the end of November and finished a basic kit just a few days before Christmas day when my cousin, (who also loves playing music and has a DD55 to this day) came over for the yearly Christmas party. I had four pads, a small Alesis DM5 module, and two cymbals back then as seen here.

These days I have spent a lot more on the kit, I think a total of about $1,300 but I would not change anything if I had to do it all again and will probably never end up selling this kit, (even though I've even gotten some great offers for it in the past). I used to run a Roland TD10 but had to swap it out one month for a TD6V due to a large credit card bill. One day I expect to get the TD12 module to plug into.

So yea, that's my kit, just one of my many "Projects".
Full updated images can me seen here.
