Microsoft released another version of Windows 7
This is a release candidate and I must say I am very impressed. Speed has gone up since version 7000, (current version is 7100) and everything seems to be running very smooth. I installed the 64 bit version on my new HP laptop as im used to working on 32 bit systems and I like the little speed boost.
More info on how to install and such can be found here for anyone who may be interested.

Do note that this needs to be put in as a "Clean install' meaning all unsaved data will be lost. Simply put the DVD into your drive and restart the computer. Most of the time you will be asked to press any key to boot from disk however other times you may have to go and change the boot order which is done with one of the function keeps at startup.
Also be aware that you are not going to be able to use this forever...after March, 1 2010 your computer will begin to power down every two hours. So make sure you have a legit copy of Windows you can go back to...or plan on buying the new W7 when it comes out.
I plan on upgrading to a 64 bit of W7 when it comes out. It will be nice to have a new OS on my main desktop.

Re: Microsoft released another version of Windows 7
I think I'll just stay with the Vista for a while, I really do not have the time to configure everything again.
But nice to hear W7 is better, on my quad core pc with 4GB ram memory, AE runs very slow, probably due to vista.
What I can do is downgrade to XP, but i'm now really attached to the nice graphics and functions of vista.. hopefully W7 will be the answer of this dilemma

Re: Microsoft released another version of Windows 7
yea I have always enjoyed the new look and functions of Vista and now W7....XP is just too boring lol
Yea loading all the programs and such is a huge pain...at least for me as I use so many haha
...but if it means getting more speed out of my system I will take two days to do all that.
