Speed has gone up since version 7000, (current version is 7100) and everything seems to be running very smooth. I installed the 64 bit version on my new HP laptop as im used to working on 32 bit systems and I like the little speed boost. Luckily I was able to save most of the data that time. After that I bought a 500GB internal for my desktop to sync with my other drive and do backups. Well yesterday morning my internal 160GB drive which came with my computer and had my OS on it failed...computer shut down on its own many times, blue screens...then no OS booting. So I was happy I had my backups on my drives and was able to install the OS on my internal ... Speed actually seems a little slower than Vista Business at this time but keep in mind this is still in beta (testing) stages so speed will probably get better over time.
